DAMNING BRANCH STACKING CLAIMS ..
June 03, 2009

An ALP insider blows the lid on rampant branchstacking in a damning internal report leaked to Jon Faine. ALP Independent Secretary Eric Dearricott lists a litany of  brazen breaches he witnessed as bulk membership renewals hit  ALP headquarters just days ago and says he’ll fight to have them disallowed.

“You would have thought that given the Brimbank scandal everyone in the Victorian ALP would have ensured their memberships were squeaky clean!”  he marvels.

Brimbank resident and President of the Sunshine Residents and Ratepayers Assoc Darlene Reilly told Jon corrupt political behaviour had infected the ALP like a cancer .. and the former Speaker of the Victorian Parliament, Monash University’s Assoc. Prof. Ken Coghill told him how rampant branchstacking had driven support from the party.

The document starts:

“You would have thought that given the Brimbank scandal everyone in the Victorian ALP would have ensured their membership renewals were squeaky clean. Not so!”
