Brumby in $150m sale | Herald Sun

Sunday Herald Sun 24 October 2010 p.26

Peter Rolfe writes:

The Brumby Government has earned more than $102,000 a day selling off public assets such as former schools, police stations, and prime lots of real estate…

As opposition leader in 1995 John Brumby called for a break on asset sales.

But documents from the Department of Treasury and Finance show his Government sold 218 properties between July 2006 and June this year.

The profit margin does not include properties sold by other government departments.
